Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst has begun work on its new 77-home subdivision development.
Ownership group Icahn Enterprises Homes, Clubs and Resorts said this is the first significant club-based expansion in Pinehurst in over a decade. Icahn bought the property and golf amenities, including courses designed by Gene Hamm and Gary Player plus a Par-3 course, in 2023 for nearly $20 million.
The 88-acre Azalea Place subdivision is Phase V of the gated community, the fourth development of what was originally slated as five phases of development.
